MY IDEAS :)

I am a huge scrapbooker and crafty girl, and I have alot of things I came up with and over the next few months i'll be doing alot of DIY stuff. I will make sure to keep this updated with pictures of all of that. In the meantime, I have created this to show you my inspirations and how I got these ideas and hopefully to help other brides along the way! The Knot boards have been a huge inspiration to me and I hope I can be that for some girls too :)

How we met

Todd and Amy went to the same high school. While having mutual friends, these two seemed to run into each other alot of places!  When no sparks flew as far as romance back then, never would they have thought 8 years down the road they would be each other's best friends and planning their future. In the mist of those long years, Amy and Todd did run into each other one Halloween in Orlando. She was there with Kelly for the Halloween weekend, and as the two of those girls did well, they were party hoping. As they walked into one party, a cute guy opened the door, a cowboy I might add. Yes, it was Todd. After a few minute talk, Todd actually asked Amy for her phone number. She remembers leaving the party doing the typical "OMG - I'M IN LOVE". Anyhoo - not much came of that. So there goes another few years. Amy and Todd found each other on a social networking website..OK, yea...it was My Space. The couple exchange a few messages here and there. The normal..hey, how are you's which never really led to much. Those e mails lasted about a year. Finally, one conversation in July - Todd invited Amy to his parents house for 4th of July. Turning down the offer, they seemed to keep in touch pretty often since that invite. Finally, one conversation in early August led to a dinner date. One date is all it took :)

He went to Jared's

Todd and I set sail...OK, not really, but we got in our cars and headed over to Marco Island to celebrate our 2 Year Anniversary. From the moment we sat in the car we were the happiest we have been yet. Something just happens to you when you know your going on vacation and we just knew we were in for an amazing one. ( Him more then I of course - poor kid was so anxious about the proposal! ) Our actual 2 year anniversary was August 14 - the first night we arrived. Right from the start it was great. We had a few frozen drinks at the bar while waiting for our room to be all ready for us. Later that night, we headed off to a romantic dinner at the most wonderful restaurant I have ever been too. I didn't think anything of it at the time - but wow was my boyfriend nervous :) After a few hours of walking the beaches, some wine, and a few long "memory" talks we made it back to the hotel room. Todd and I made our way to the balcony which overlooked the ocean...the view from our room was unbelievable I might add. So, there we are, saying our I love yous and reminiscing about the past 2 years, and....it happened. The most perfect proposal I could have ever imagined. I at that moment, 10:30 pm 8/14/08,  became the luckiest girl alive.
